Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Shampoo mobile application and the website at shampoo.app (collectively, the “Service”), operated by 20min, Inc(“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account & Phone Verification

To create an account, you must provide a valid mobile phone number. We use your phone number to send a one-time SMS verification code as part of a two-factor authentication process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. SMS Messaging

By entering your phone number and tapping “Continue” (or equivalent) during signup or login, you consent to receive SMS messages from Shampoo for account verification and two-factor authentication only.

• Program: Shampoo Account Verification (2FA).
• Message frequency: up to 5 messages per 24-hour period, corresponding to verification requests you initiate. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.
• Costs: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Shampoo does not charge a fee for SMS delivery.
• Opt-out: Reply STOP to any verification message to opt out of further SMS. Because SMS verification is required to log in, opting out may prevent you from accessing the Service. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@shampoo.app.
• Supported carriers:SMS is supported on all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• No guarantee of delivery: Shampoo and its SMS provider are not responsible for any delayed, lost, or undelivered messages due to carrier or network issues.

Your mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Post content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringing.
• Attempt to interfere with the Service, including bypassing rate limits, scraping, or reverse engineering.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we reasonably believe is harmful. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 20min, Inc shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective date” and, where appropriate, communicated through the Service.
